Latest CQC report shows improvements

We are pleased to say that this inspection removed all ‘inadequate’ ratings and showed improvements in numerous areas. We received a ‘good’ rating for community health services for adults and a ‘requires improvement’ rating for the core mental health services inspected. We are pleased that our ratings are moving in the right direction and we have much to be proud of.

LPT appoints ward-based pharmacy technicians

We are improving the patient experience by appointing ward-based pharmacists to administer drugs on our inpatient wards, which was previously carried out exclusively by nurses.

Leicester Bread Clubs launched to improve local mental health

Bread making for the benefit of mental health is coming to Leicester. Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust have teamed up with Planet Leicester Bakers, who have secured funding to kick start a new Leicester Bread Clubs initiative in the city.

Carillion situation does not affect LPT

The current Carillion situation has no impact on LPT services. All of our facilities remain open as normal. Carillion are subcontracted by LPT’s PFI contractor Arden, who employ one member of staff to provide maintenance to LPT’s Agnes unit. We have planned with Arden to ensure there would be no impact for our service users, and they have already enacted their business continuity plan.
