Emergency Preparedness Resilience and Response (EPRR) annual assurance process, 2016-17.

The minimum EPRR requirements which Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT) must meet are set out in the NHS England EPRR Core Standards. These standards are in accordance with the CCA 2004, the NHS Act 2006 (as amended) and the Cabinet Office Expectations and Indicators of Good Practice set for Category 1 and 2 Responders. The latest version of the Core Standards can be found at

http://www.england.nhs.uk/ourwork/eprr/gf/#core.

LPT are asked to provide evidence of our compliance, and for the Board to issue a Statement of EPRR Conformity to NHS England.

Our rating for 2016-17 is “substantially” compliant and going forward we have a work plan in place to improve our compliancy rating. We continue to work closely with multi-agency groups to mitigate the impact of an incident to the population of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. LPT is a member of the Local Resilience Forum (LRF) and actively supports and attends all multi-agency exercises and training. We continue to conduct internal exercises to test hospital lockdown plans and our response to a major incident. Continuous review and development of business continuity plans dovetails with both the gold command (strategic) and tactical command (silver) training. LPT are continuously developing our EPRR processes and procedures in line with national guidance in order to keep our staff and service users as safe as possible.
