Tips for successful searching
Keywords
To perform a quick search enter a keyword, for example "sickness", and click the pink search arrow. Entering multiple keywords, for example "sickness absence management policy" will generate a smaller, more accurate list of documents. It can be helpful to use a single keyword if you are unsure of the exact title of the document you are looking for.
Our keyword search tool will look for your keywords in document titles or descriptions and in the main body text of documents.
Type
You can narrow your search by choosing from the groups of document type in the type dropdown. For example if you are looking specifically for a HR policy, choose "Policies & Guidelines: HR" from the Type dropdown before entering your keywords. You can generate a list of all documents of a certain type by choosing a type from the dropdown, for example choose "Policies and Guidelies: HR", then click the pink search arrow without entering any keywords, to see all HR Policies and Guidelines in the library.
Order by
You can organise your search results alphabetically by choosing "Title" from the Order By dropdown, before you click the pink search arrow. Choosing "Publication date" will organise your results by date, showing the most new documents nearest the top.
