Safeguarding is the term used to describe child protection, adult protection (especially vulnerable adults), and domestic violence. At LPT we believe that everyone has the right to live their lives free from abuse.
We work closely with partner agencies to support our most vulnerable groups of children and adults within society from abuse and neglect. We have positive links with the local Safeguarding Children's Board, Adult Protection Board, NHS Domestic Violence Group, police and social care.
In addition to providing safeguarding training for all staff employed by our Trust, we have dedicated safeguarding children and adults teams who provide expert advice and guidance to staff on safeguarding matters.
We have a number of safeguarding groups within our Trust who monitor our performance, and identify any actions required. This ensures safeguarding is frequently reviewed to make sure our practice adheres to government standards.
