Children aged three to 16 are being encouraged to portray their NHS super heroes, through paintings, drawings, poetry, photography and the written word.

Our month-long open competition for children in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland is the idea o senior mental health nurse Katie Abram who was inspiredb y a loving portrait by her daughter Remi, depicting her mum as half nurse, half super hero, battling the Covid-19 virus.

Our aim is to display your creations at LPT site across the two counties and we’ll be showcasing them in a ‘virtual’ exhibition on this site when the competition closes.

Prizes will be awarded to winners and runners up in our three age group categories:
  • 3 – 6 years old,
  • 7 – 11 years old and
  • 12 – 16 years old.

We know that creativity and the arts can play a key part in helping us look after our children’s wellbeing, and the competition aims to support our super-hero young ones as families navigate the changing coronavirus situation.
