In line with the evolving Coronavirus situation, Leicestershire partnership NHS Trust is now able to allow some visiting across our hospitals and inpatient units where Covid-19 safety guidance can be maintained. One hour, pre-booked visits will be allowed as follows:

A single adult visitor for patients in our wards or units;

A parent or carer for patients under 18 years old;

One carer (formal or informal) for adult patients requiring assistance;

One relative collecting a patient being discharged;

Family for patients at end of life.

Permitted visitors should only attend hospital provided they:

Have had no coronavirus symptoms in the last 10 days, or any symptoms of a respiratory illness (chest or nasal congestion; wet or dry cough; sneezing; stuffy or runny nose; fatigue; body/muscle aches; high temperature/fever; sore throat; headaches; altered taste and sense of smell);

Have had no sickness or diarrhoea in the last 48 hours;

Have obtained a negative lateral flow test result on the day of the visit;

Are not self-isolating because of a positive PCR test, or because of contact isolation based on vaccination status, in line with government guidance;

Observe mask wearing, hand hygiene and social distancing guidance while on site.
