Referral criteria

The service is referral only and is provided for approximately 12 months, with clients generally choosing two to three sessions to attend each week.

The majority of our work is within small group settings and we aspire to provide a programme and environment which acknowledges the key components associated with personal recovery in mental health; connectedness, hope, identity, meaning and empowerment (*Leamy et al, 2011).

Referrals can be made by any health or social care staff by calling The Mett Centre on the number below after 3:00 p.m. Monday – Friday.  We also take referrals on the phone on Fridays 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.  In the first instance, prospective clients are then invited for an informal look around before deciding if they would like the referral to proceed.
