Adult Learning Disability Autism Service (Fosse Autism Service)

Our Learning Disability Autism Service provides transition support for people with a diagnosis of autism and a learning disability aged 18 years+.

The service supports people who are leaving school to access college or other services, moving from home to supported living or residential care provision. It also provides support for people who have withdrawn from services to redevelop their contact with their local community and services.

The team consists of qualified nurses and healthcare support workers with involvement of the full multidisciplinary team as appropriate. We provide specialist advice and support for carers and other services that are supporting individuals with autism regarding the development of structured activities, visual timetables and communication systems. We support carers to implement recommendations made as a result of our own direct assessment of individuals.
