The Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland (LLR) Reserves Programme is a new initiative, creating a flexible workforce, available at times of high demand, and providing extra capacity in local health and social care services when services may need additional support.
Over time we will be recruiting to a range of roles but are currently looking to build a team of Ward Aides to support in inpatient areas in hospitals across the City and Counties. We expect there to be opportunities to work at the three hospitals operated by University Hospitals of Leicester as well as the community hospitals and mental health units operated by Leicestershire Partnership Trust.
These roles will be in patient facing environments but do not require you to deliver hands-on patient care. The advert and job description can be found by clicking on the links below.
Previous experience is not required but you do need to be over the age of 18. All posts are offered at Band 2 on a zero hours basis. Online and face to face induction training will be provided and once complete staff will be offered initial shifts to support their confidence to be ready to work when needed. All training is paid on successful completion.
We welcome applications from those already working in the NHS and social care, those looking to enter this field and students over the age of 18.
All the above paid roles will be operated by the Workforce Bureau which is supporting the local response to the national reservists programme.
