Leicestershire Partnership Trust went smokefree on 1 October 2016
Since 1 October 2016, LPT has been completely smokefree, with an inclusive smoking ban in all Trust buildings, grounds and vehicles.
We are committed to improving health and wellbeing in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. Stopping smoking is one of the most productive ways to help people gain more disease-free years. This is why the ban includes all – from service users and staff, to visitors and contractors.
We realise that stopping smoking can cause discomfort. We will therefore provide support to anyone in need when visiting our premises. We can ensure easy access to nicotine replacement products and, if required, vaping products (e-cigarettes). Clinical staff are now also provided with smoking cessation training to give them the knowledge and skills to support patients to stop smoking.
The use of e-cigarettes (vaping) is permitted in outside areas.
