About this volunteering opportunity

Stewart House is a rehabilitation inpatient unit providing care for patients who have severe and enduring mental illness.

Patients are fully involved in their care and contribute to their plan of care, helping the service to understand what is needed to promote recovery. Part of the care will include structured activities which focus on patients’ interests and strengths.

The unit has recently secured equipment to aid patient recovery and are looking for a confident individual who holds at least a level 2 qualification in Fitness Training, together with a passion of supporting people with mental health illnesses.

The service is hoping for two volunteers who will support at least two sessions during the week, evenings and/or weekends, so we can support patients accessing the gym across the week. The gym opens from 8 am to 9 pm seven days a week and each session will require a minimum of two hours of your time.

You will be part of a team delivering great care and support and if you feel you are right for this role, then we would love to hear from you.

Either register your interest, or feel free to give us a call and we can answer any questions you might have.
