During March, industrial action will mean the NHS will be busier than normal.

You can help by:

  • Attending any scheduled medical appointments as normal. The NHS will contact you if your appointment needs to be rescheduled due to strike action.
  • Using 111 online as the first port of call for urgent health needs.
  • Only using 999 if it is a life-threatening emergency (when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk). Ambulances may only able to respond where there is an immediate risk to life.
  • Looking after yourselves and your loved ones and checking in on vulnerable family members and neighbours.
