Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team
The Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team provides a rapid assessment of people who are experiencing a mental health crisis of such severity that without the intervention of the team, a hospital admission would be necessary.
Adults from the age of 18 who without this service would require hospital admission
Referral criteria
We accept all mental health diagnoses – please see exclusion criteria.
Referrers contact 0300 300 1010 (open 24 hours) and press option for referral, they will be put through to a call handler who will take details and pass to a triage nurse. A telephone triage (assessment) should take place within 2 hr of receipt of referral, this will vary dependent on time of day and volume of referrals, if a face to face assessment is the outcome of the triage assessment then this will take place within 24 hours
Criteria exclusion
We do not accept referrals where the primary diagnosis is: drug and alcohol abuse dementia

Access is by referral only.
What conditions do you cover
All mental health conditions except dementia and where drugs and alcohol abuse is the primary diagnosis.
