Specialist Autism Team
The Specialist Autism Team (SAT) was launched on 19 April 2021. The multi-disciplinary team is committed to improving the quality and care for people who are autistic.
The team will focus on early intervention and work to put in place the right package of respectful care and support to prevent admissions to psychiatric hospitals, wherever possible. The team will also work closely with partner organisations such as education providers and social services to provide holistic care and more support where it is needed.
The SAT supports patients who are 14-years-old upwards, who have a diagnosis of autism.
The service is for patients who have behaviours that create a risk to themselves or others – and that are impacting on their ability to engage within the community, employment or educations.
The patient should be on the Dynamic Support Register.
Person has a learning disability; Under 14s
