LPT’s independent Patient, Carer and Voluntary & Community Sector led People’s Council has set it priorities for the year ahead and its plans for how it will raise awareness of its work.  Our priorities, which we will look into in detail between now and April 2022 are:

  • A review of the Step Up To Great for Mental Health plans
  • LPT’s refreshed approach to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
  • The personalisation of care and how care is wrapped around a patient’s needs and wants and what support a person’s care network needs to provide the best possible care

The People’s Council aim will be to support LPT to shape how they plan service improvements in these areas..

Council Chair Mark Farmer said:

“Following recent discussions between us as patients, carers and representatives of local Voluntary and Community Sector we have decided on our own priorities for the year ahead. We will be engaging with patients and carers in these areas of review.  You can find out more about our work at www.leicspart.nhs.uk/involving-you/the-peoples-council/

Al Richardson, Chair of The People’s Council Communication Sub-Group said,

“We are always looking at ways in which we can improve the approach to raising awareness of our work and how we will engage people in understanding our priorities. Please drop us a line at lep-tr.peoplescouncil@nhs.net with any ideas.”
