Diana Childrens Community Service - Child and Family Support Service (CAFSS)
We help children, young people and their families to understand their thoughts and feelings about how they are being affected by illness. We do this by offering emotional support, using counselling techniques, and encouraging special therapeutic play that helps children and young people express themselves.
CAFSS enables families to talk to someone completely impartial who is not involved in their direct clinical care. The special therapeutic play used with children and young people includes games, role-play, craft activities and storytelling. Our techniques involve exploring experiences, with the help of a trained staff member.

CAFSS is available to any child or young person living with a life limiting, life threatening or chronic illness.
