Patient/Carer Support Groups
NHS 111 option 2:
We’d like to remind everyone of all ages that if you need urgent mental health support, you can call NHS 111 and press option 2 or visit https://111.nhs.uk/ and follow the on screen instructions. This service is totally free and confidential. Families can call NHS 111 and choose Option 2, 24 hours a day, seven days a week and speak to a qualified call-handler if they require advice around urgent mental health concerns for children and young people. Please note however that the NHS 111 line is not an emergency service. Where there is an immediate, serious and life-threatening emergency, call 999 or attend A and E.
You can also click on the yellow box at the top of the screen that says Mental health support for further support.
Please be aware that our Professionals’ Advice Service (PAS) line for advice and information on referrals into our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) has closed.
Health for Teens website:
You can find information, advice and tips relating to emotional health and wellbeing for young people on our Health for Teens website. This website has a dedicated CAMHS area hosting content created by CAMHS Professionals.
